Matt Mitler

Matt Mitler, born on May 27, 1955, is an accomplished American actor and the founding director of Dzieci Theatre, established in 1997. The name "Dzieci," which means "children" in Polish, reflects the company's mission to blend performance art with community service, offering creative and therapeutic interactions in hospitals and various institutional environments. Dzieci Theatre is committed to a process-oriented approach and features the renowned production "Fools Mass," which has been showcased at significant events, including the Parliament of the World's Religions in Barcelona in 2004. Since its inception in 1999, "Fools Mass" has become a beloved fixture at The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine.

In addition to his theatrical pursuits, Mitler and Dzieci Theatre have been highlighted in Retta Blaney's book, "Working on the Inside: The Spiritual Life Through the Eyes of Actors."
