Thomas Ian Griffith

Thomas Ian Griffith, born on March 18, 1962, is an accomplished American actor and martial artist recognized for his compelling performances on both the big and small screens. He gained widespread fame for his portrayal of Terry Silver in the 1989 film The Karate Kid Part III, a character he revisited in the fourth season of the Netflix series Cobra Kai, showcasing his enduring connection to the franchise.

Griffith's passion for martial arts ignited during his high school years, leading him to earn a black belt in Tae Kwon Do by the age of 18. This expertise opened doors to his film career, allowing him to secure significant roles. In 1996, he starred as DEA agent Max Parish in Hollow Point, alongside Tia Carrere. His collaboration with renowned director John Carpenter resulted in his role as Jan Valek, the head vampire in the 1998 horror film Vampires, and he co-created the comic series Asylum with Carpenter.

His television career began on the soap opera Another World, where he played Catlin Ewing from 1984 to 1987.
