Jeremy Paul Swift, born on June 27, 1960, is a prominent English actor. His journey into the performing arts began with a drama education at the Guildford School of Acting, where he trained from 1978 to 1981. Throughout the 1980s, he primarily focused on stage work, collaborating with various theatre companies, including Deborah Warner’s Kick Theatre and the avant-garde comedy group The People Show. During this time, he also featured in several television advertisements.
In the 1990s, Swift made a notable appearance at the National Theatre, performing alongside esteemed actors such as David Tennant and Richard Wilson in the production of Phyllida Lloyd's What the Butler Saw. His film credits are impressive, with roles in Robert Altman's acclaimed murder mystery Gosford Park (2001), Michael Apted's historical drama Amazing Grace (2006), and the family-friendly adventure Mary Poppins Returns (2018).
