Heavy D
Dwight Myers, widely recognized as Heavy D, was born on May 24, 1967. He emerged as a prominent figure in the hip hop scene, notably as the frontman of the influential group Heavy D & the Boyz. Alongside members G-Whiz (Glen Parrish), "Trouble" T. Roy (Troy Dixon), and Eddie F (Edward Ferrell), Heavy D & the Boyz captivated audiences throughout the 1990s with their unique blend of hip hop and R&B.
Heavy D's musical journey began in the late 1980s, and he quickly gained acclaim for his distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence. The group's debut album, "Living Large," released in 1987, showcased their infectious sound and laid the groundwork for future successes. Notable tracks such as "Now That We Found Love" and "Somebody for Me" solidified their place in the music industry.
