Lorne Cardinal
**Lorne Cardinal** is a celebrated actor and director, widely recognized for his performance as Sergeant Davis Quinton in the Corner Gas franchise, which has captivated audiences across 60 countries. His role in the animated series Corner Gas Animated (2018) earned him the prestigious Best Performance, Animation award at the 2021 Canadian Screen Awards. This character is also featured in the acclaimed live-action series Corner Gas (2004), which garnered an International Emmy nomination, and its feature film, Corner Gas: The Movie (2014).
In recognition of his contributions to the arts, Lorne is honored to have a theatre space named after him: the Lorne Cardinal Theatre, located in the newly rebuilt Roxy Theatre in Edmonton, Alberta, which is set to open in November 2021.
A graduate of classical training, Lorne has directed and performed in a variety of theatrical productions, including the renowned King Lear at the National Arts Centre and Black Elk Speaks at the Denver Center.
