Ellen Muth, born on March 6, 1981, is a retired American actress celebrated primarily for her portrayal of Georgia 'George' Lass in the acclaimed Showtime series, Dead Like Me, which aired from 2003 to 2004 and was later adapted into a film in 2009. Muth's intellectual prowess is highlighted by her membership in high-IQ societies such as Intertel and Mensa since 2004. She honed her artistic skills at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and the Skip Barber Racing School.

Muth began her career in the entertainment industry as a model with Ford Models and Rascal's Agency before transitioning to acting. She gained her first professional experience in commercials in 1993 and made her film debut in the 1995 adaptation of Stephen King's Dolores Claiborne. Muth's talent was further recognized when she appeared in the season premiere of Law & Order and received critical acclaim for her role in the 1999 film The Young Girl and the Monsoon, where her performance was praised for its emotional depth and sharp wit.
