Plot
In "Dolores Claiborne," the titular character faces renewed scrutiny as she stands accused of murdering her wealthy employer, Vera Donovan. Two decades prior, Dolores was implicated in the death of her abusive husband, but the evidence was insufficient for a conviction. Now, with a witness who can identify her at the crime scene, the situation becomes dire. Complicating matters further is the return of her daughter, Selena, a prominent magazine writer from Manhattan, who comes back to report on the unfolding drama, putting their strained relationship under the microscope.
