Giani Esposito (August 23, 1930 – January 1, 1974) was a notable French actor and singer-songwriter. Born in Etterbeek, Belgium, to a French mother and an Italian father, Esposito's artistic talents flourished on both the big screen and in music. Over his career, he appeared in an impressive 50 films from 1951 to 1973, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

In addition to his film work, Esposito made a significant impact as a singer-songwriter between 1958 and 1973, releasing a variety of albums deeply infused with themes of spirituality and poetry. His most acclaimed song, “The Clowns” (Les Clowns, 1957), earned popularity through cover versions by renowned artists like Raymond Devos, Jeanne-Marie Sens, Hervé Vilard, and Bernard Lavilliers.

Esposito was married to French actress Pascale Petit, with whom he had a daughter, Doushka Esposito, born in 1963. Doushka followed in her parents' footsteps, becoming a singer and serving as an ambassador for Walt Disney's productions on French television. Tragically, Giani Esposito passed away from viral hepatitis in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, leaving behind a rich legacy in both film and music.
