Jackie Joseph
Jackie Joseph, born on November 7, 1934, is a celebrated American character actress, voice artist, and writer, widely recognized for her memorable roles in film and television. She gained fame for her portrayal of Audrey Fulquard in the original production of *The Little Shop of Horrors* and as Sheila Futterman in both *Gremlins* movies. Joseph also lent her voice to Melody in the animated series *Josie and the Pussycats* and its spin-off, *Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space*. Additionally, she appeared regularly on *The Doris Day Show* as Doris' friend, Jackie Parker, and played the love interest of Ernest T. Bass on *The Andy Griffith Show*.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Joseph began her career in the 1950s and '60s, performing in the Billy Barnes Revues alongside her future husband, actor Ken Berry. They were married from May 29, 1960, until their divorce in June 1976, during which time they adopted two children. Joseph later remarried and now lives with her husband, David Lawrence, in a peaceful Los Angeles suburb.
Joseph's extensive television credits include appearances on iconic shows like *The Dick Van Dyke Show*, *That Girl*, and *Designing Women*. In the 1980s, she co-founded an organization to support celebrity wives navigating divorce and has since been active with the Screen Actors Guild and animal welfare organizations.
