Overview
Josie and the Pussycats, an animated series from Hanna-Barbera, brought to life the beloved characters from Dan DeCarlo’s Archie Comics. Airing on CBS during the 1970-71 season, the show featured 16 episodes that showcased a girl band navigating a whirlwind of adventures, mysteries, and espionage while on tour. The dynamic trio included the sensible lead singer Josie, the clever tambourinist Valerie, and the bubbly drummer Melody. Supporting them were their timid manager Alexander, his scheming sister Alexandra with her pet cat Sebastian, and their strong roadie Alan. A reimagined version set in outer space followed in 1972, adding to the series' legacy across three networks until 1976
