Bert Remsen
Bert Remsen (February 25, 1925 – April 22, 1999) was a notable American actor, recognized for his character performances in various films. He was born in Glen Cove, New York, located on Long Island. Throughout his career, he collaborated with acclaimed director Robert Altman on several projects, including Brewster McCloud (1970), McCabe & Mrs. Miller (1971), Thieves Like Us (1974), California Split (1974), Nashville (1975), Buffalo Bill and the Indians, or Sitting Bull's History Lesson (1976), A Wedding (1978), and he appeared as Harrison 'Dandy' Dandridge in the television series "Dallas" (1987), along with his role in Daddy's Dyin'...Who's Got the Will? (1990).
Following an injury sustained while working on a television production, Remsen stepped back from acting. However, he found his way back to the industry when Altman persuaded him to take on a role in Brewster McCloud, where he had initially been brought on as the casting director. Additionally, Remsen had a brief marriage to Katherine MacGregor, known for her role in Little House on the Prairie.
