Johnny Harris
Johnny Harris made his entrance into the film industry in 2006 with a standout role in the critically acclaimed British film *London to Brighton*. The movie was recognized as one of Time Out Magazine's ‘100 Greatest British Films of All Time,’ and celebrated director Shane Meadows praised Harris' performance as "incredibly bold and massively powerful."
Following his film debut, Harris gained further acclaim for his role in Meadows' cult TV series *This Is England ’86*, earning nominations from BAFTA and the Royal Television Society. The series' finale was honored as ‘The Greatest TV Episode of All Time’ by The Independent.
In 2017, Harris expanded his creative repertoire by making his screenwriting debut with the notable film *Jawbone*, in which he also starred and co-produced. His work on the film led to a BAFTA Film Award nomination for Outstanding Debut and two BIFA Film Award nominations for his lead performance. The soundtrack was notably composed by Paul Weller, who also collaborated with Harris on music videos in 2018.
Harris has appeared in a variety of acclaimed films and television shows, including *Without Sin*, *Great Expectations*, *A Christmas Carol*, *The Salisbury Poisonings*, and *Snow White and the Huntsman*. Recently, he took on the significant role of Magwitch in the BBC/FOX/Disney adaptation of *Great Expectations*, alongside Olivia Colman, and co-starred in ITV’s *Without Sin*. Currently, he is filming *Bladerunner 2099* with Michelle Yeoh, a project executive produced by Sir Ridley Scott for Amazon.
