Boris Lyoskin

Boris Lyoskin was born in Petrograd, RSFSR, USSR, and was a notable participant in the Great Patriotic War, where he played a vital role in defending Leningrad as part of the 22nd fortified region. After the war, he pursued his passion for the performing arts and graduated from the Leningrad Ostrovsky Theatre Institute in 1952, under the guidance of L.F. Makaryev. Following his graduation, he became an integral part of the Leningrad Gorky Bolshoi Drama Theatre, where he showcased his talent as an actor from 1952 until 1979.

In 1980, Boris made a significant move to the United States, where he continued his theatrical career. He performed at the Circle in a Square Theatre on Broadway, further expanding his artistic repertoire. Additionally, he appeared in various episodic roles in American films, demonstrating his versatility as an actor. His contributions to the industry were recognized through his membership in the Actors Guild of America, and he was also a member of the Oscar nomination committee, influencing the recognition of cinematic talent.
