Mili Avital
Mili Avital, born on March 30, 1972, in Jerusalem, is an accomplished Israeli-American actress known for her versatile performances across film, television, and stage. Avital's career took flight in her home country of Israel, where she garnered critical acclaim, winning the Israeli Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1992 and receiving a nomination for Best Actress in 1994. That same year, she relocated to New York City, quickly establishing herself in the American entertainment industry while continuing to thrive in both Israel and the United States.
Raised in a creative household—her parents, Noni and Iko Avital, were graphic designers—Mili was immersed in the arts from a young age. She honed her talent at the Thelma Yellin High School of Arts and made her theatrical debut in a production of "Dangerous Liaisons" at the Cameri Theater during her final high school year.
In addition to her acting achievements, Avital served on the Board of Governors at the University of Haifa from 2009 to 2013, reflecting her commitment to education and cultural development.
