Plot
In "The Human Stain," Coleman Silk, a respected professor, faces a sudden downfall after unintentionally using a racial slur, leading to his dismissal. In an effort to vindicate himself, he collaborates with his friend Nathan Zuckerman to pen a book detailing the incident. Throughout this journey, Zuckerman uncovers a troubling secret that Silk has concealed for years. Meanwhile, Silk becomes romantically involved with Faunia Farley, a younger woman whose troubled history risks exposing the complex web of lies that Silk has woven throughout his life.
