Taissa Farmiga
Taissa Farmiga, born on August 17, 1994, is an accomplished American actress hailing from Whitehouse Station, New Jersey. She is the younger sibling of renowned actress Vera Farmiga, who inspired her to pursue a career in acting. Taissa made her acting debut in Vera's film, Higher Ground, released in 2011. Following this, she gained significant recognition for her roles in the anthology series American Horror Story, where she appeared in several seasons including Murder House (2011), Coven (2013–2014), Roanoke (2016), and Apocalypse (2018).
Her early career also featured notable performances in films such as the romantic comedy At Middleton (2013), the crime drama The Bling Ring (2013), and the psychological thriller Mindscape (2013), which marked her first leading role in a feature film.
Farmiga received critical acclaim for her roles in the comedy-horror film The Final Girls (2015), as well as in the dramatic pieces 6 Years (2015) and Share (2015), all of which premiered at the prestigious South by Southwest festival, earning her recognition as one of the event’s breakout stars. She lent her voice to the character Raven in the DC Animated Movie Universe from 2016 to 2020 and appeared in the comedy films Rules Don’t Apply (2016) and The Long Dumb Road (2018). Additionally, she starred in the drama In a Valley of Violence (2016) and the supernatural thriller The Nun (2018). Farmiga led the cast of the procedural drama series Wicked City (2015) and made her stage debut in the off-Broadway revival of Buried Child (2016).
