Henry Lau
Henry Lau, widely known simply as Henry, is a multifaceted Canadian artist who has made significant contributions to the entertainment industries in South Korea and China. He rose to fame in 2008 as a member of Super Junior-M, a sub-unit of the popular boy band Super Junior. Beyond his work with the group, Henry has showcased his musical talents as a songwriter, composer, and producer, collaborating with various artists and contributing to soundtracks for television dramas through his involvement with the composition team Noize Bank.
In June 2013, he ventured into a solo career with the release of his debut extended play, "Trap." The album achieved notable success, reaching #2 on the Gaon Album Chart in South Korea. The title track made its mark as well, climbing to #28 on the Gaon Digital Chart and peaking at #18 on the Billboard Korea K-Pop Hot 100.
After leaving SM Entertainment in April 2018, following the conclusion of his contract, Henry stepped away from Super Junior-M. He took a significant leap in his career by establishing his own studio, Henry Workshop, in July 2018. Later that year, he joined Monster Entertainment Group and signed with AXIS, continuing to expand his artistic footprint in the music industry. Henry Lau remains a prominent figure in the entertainment scene, known for his versatility and creativity.
