Plot

Hao's restaurant in Singapore is on the brink of closure. Against his grandfather's wishes for him to pursue engineering, Hao's grandson, Mark, sneaks away to Shanghai to compete in a cooking contest. He fills in for a missing contestant and faces the challenge of winning over the judges, Julia Lee and her husband, David Chen. As the competition unfolds, David, who has ties to Singapore and longs for his family, discovers that Mark is actually his son.
