Isabelle Van Hecke

Isabelle Van Hecke, born in Wevelgem in 1977, is a prominent Flemish actress celebrated for her theatrical performances and her role in the popular sitcom "Kiekens." After completing her studies at the Herman Teirlinck Institute in 2000, she not only honed her craft as a performer but also later contributed as an instructor at the same institution.

Throughout her career, Van Hecke has collaborated with notable figures in the theater world, including Luk Perceval on productions like "Het kouwe kind" and "Turista." She has also worked with Titus Muizelaar on "Belgian Landscapes" and "Licht ongemakkelijk," and engaged with Thomas Zielinski in the acclaimed show "Meeting People is Easy." Her work with Eric Volder on "Au nom du père" further showcases her versatility.

In addition to her individual projects, Van Hecke has been part of ensemble productions such as "De Krippel," "De Jossen," and "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" with Olympique Dramatique. She has also collaborated with companies like Froe Froe on "De Vinger en de Mond" and "Marcelleke Flanneleke," as well as with HETPALEIS, BRONKS, Theater Antigone, Het gevolg, and theater STAP. More recently, she partnered with the new theater company 'Jan' to create "Je ne comprends pas" and "Thierry," further establishing her dynamic presence in contemporary Flemish theater.
