Edward Holcroft
Edward Patrick Holcroft is a talented English actor renowned for his impactful performances in film, television, and theater. He gained significant recognition for his portrayals in the Kingsman franchise, specifically as Charlie Hesketh in *Kingsman: The Secret Service* and its sequel, *Kingsman: The Golden Circle*. Additionally, his role as George Boleyn in the acclaimed series *Wolf Hall* and as Alex Turner in *London Spy* further solidified his standing in the industry.
Born into a military family, Edward is the second of three sons to Lt. Col. Patrick Holcroft and Kathleen "Annie" Holcroft, a former publisher. His upbringing included time in prestigious boarding schools, starting with Summer Fields School in Oxford and continuing at Ampleforth College, a Roman Catholic institution in North Yorkshire.
Initially aspiring to be a professional drummer, Edward's passion shifted to acting after a transformative experience in a university play at Oxford Brookes University. This pivot led him to pursue a postgraduate degree in acting at the Drama Centre London, where he graduated in 2012.
In addition to his notable roles in the Kingsman films, Holcroft appeared in the historical miniseries *Gunpowder* and the Netflix adaptation of *Alias Grace* in 2017. He showcased his theatrical talent alongside Dominic West and Janet McTeer in a production of *Les Liaisons Dangereuses* at the Donmar Warehouse, adding to his impressive repertoire.
