Ja Rule
Jeffrey Atkins, widely recognized as Ja Rule, was born on February 29, 1976, in Hollis, Queens. He is an accomplished American rapper, singer, and actor whose career took off in the late 1990s. Ja Rule initially gained attention as part of the group Cash Money Click, but it was his 1999 solo debut album, *Venni Vetti Vecci*, that truly marked his entry into the music industry, featuring the hit single "Holla Holla."
Throughout the early 2000s, Ja Rule became a dominant figure in hip-hop, with numerous chart-topping singles that resonated with audiences. His collaborations were particularly noteworthy, including "Between Me and You" featuring Christina Milian, the chart-topping "I'm Real (Murder Remix)" alongside Jennifer Lopez, and "Always on Time" with Ashanti. Other significant tracks include "Mesmerize," also with Ashanti, and "Wonderful," which featured both Ashanti and R. Kelly.
During this period, he was signed to The Inc. Records, previously known as Murder Inc., under the leadership of Irv Gotti.
