Nesdon Foye Booth was a distinguished American actor celebrated for his contributions to film and television, with a career that spanned over 100 productions. He is particularly recognized for his memorable portrayal of Frank, the bartender, in the classic western series Cimarron City.

Born in Baker City, Oregon, on an undisclosed date, Nesdon, often referred to as Ned, launched his acting journey in Portland, where he participated in early radio dramas. His life took a significant turn when he enlisted in World War II, serving in the field artillery division at Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, California. While stationed there, he collaborated with fellow soldiers—such as Sterling Holloway and Tex Terry—who were already established in Hollywood. Together, they created a morale-boosting stage show, initially called Yardbirds of Fort MacArthur, which evolved into the successful musical Hey, Rookie, where Nesdon showcased his talents in various roles, notably as the prima ballerina.

After the war, he pursued his education at the newly founded California State College, Los Angeles (now California State University, Los Angeles), earning a Bachelor’s degree in theater in 1949. His career continued to flourish as he appeared in a variety of popular television shows, including Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Twilight Zone, and Perry Mason. Unfortunately, Booth passed away from a heart attack in March 1964 at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Hollywood, California, and was laid to rest in Olive Lawn Memorial Park.
