Marcello Pagliero
Marcello Pagliero (15 January 1907 – 18 October 1980) was an Italian filmmaker, actor, and screenwriter.
Born in London, Pagliero's career in cinema is highlighted by his memorable role in Roberto Rossellini's acclaimed film "Rome, Open City" (1945). In 1947, he relocated to France, where he continued his involvement in the film industry until 1960, subsequently transitioning to French television.
In recognition of his talent, Pagliero received an Academy Award nomination in 1949 for his contribution to the original screenplay of Rossellini's "Paisà," showcasing his skill in storytelling and screenwriting.
He passed away in Paris, leaving behind a legacy of influential work in European cinema.
