Plot

Set against the backdrop of World War II in Rome, Manfredi, a leader of the resistance, is on the run from the Gestapo. To evade capture, he seeks assistance from Pina, who is engaged to another resistance fighter, and Don Pietro, the priest set to officiate their wedding. However, their efforts to protect him are soon thwarted as the Nazis and local authorities close in on their location.
