Thomas Haden Church
Thomas Haden Church, originally named Thomas Richard McMillen, was born on June 17, 1960, and is a prominent American actor. He first gained attention in the 1990s with his role on the television sitcom Wings, followed by a leading performance in the series Ned & Stacey, which aired from 1995 to 1997. Church transitioned to film, where he showcased his talent in various notable roles, including Lyle van de Groot in the 1997 comedy George of the Jungle. His portrayal in the critically acclaimed film Sideways (2004) earned him an Academy Award nomination.
Beyond his work in independent films, Church is recognized for his role as the villain Sandman in the Marvel superhero franchise, appearing in Spider-Man 3 (2007) and reprising the character in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). His filmography also includes significant performances in Over the Hedge (2006), Smart People (2008), Easy A (2010), We Bought a Zoo (2011), Max (2015), and Hellboy (2019). Additionally, he made his mark as a director with his debut film, Rolling Kansas, released in 2003.
