Plot

Mary Horowitz, an eccentric crossword puzzle creator, believes she has found her soulmate in Steve, a CNN cameraman, after just one brief blind date. Driven by her conviction, she embarks on a cross-country quest to track him down, spurred on by a supportive reporter. As she pops up at various media events, determined to prove their compatibility, Mary encounters a colorful cast of misfits who embrace her quirks. Through these unexpected friendships, she begins to reflect on the motivations behind her relentless pursuit of Steve and what love truly means.
