Loni Anderson
Loni Kaye Anderson (August 5, 1945 – August 3, 2025) was a renowned American actress best known for her portrayal of Jennifer Marlowe on the beloved sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, Anderson was the daughter of model Maxine Hazel and environmental chemist Klaydon Carl "Andy" Anderson. Raised in Roseville, she attended the University of Minnesota, where her vibrant personality began to shine.
Anderson rose to fame with her iconic role as the glamorous receptionist on WKRP, which earned her a place in pop culture history, particularly with a pinup photo in a bikini that became a top-selling wall poster during the 1970s. Her career also included a notable performance as actress Jayne Mansfield in a biopic alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, and she featured in the series Partners in Crime with Lynda Carter in 1984. Following her divorce from Burt Reynolds, her third husband, she took on a regular role in the sitcom Nurses from 1993 to 1994.
In addition to her television work, Anderson made guest appearances on various shows in the late 1990s and early 2000s, showcasing her enduring appeal. She had four marriages, with musician Bob Flick being her last, marrying him in 2008. As a mother, she had two children, including her adopted son with Reynolds, Quinton. Anderson published her autobiography, My Life in High Heels, in 1997, offering insights into her fascinating life. She passed away on August 3, 2025, after a prolonged illness at a Los Angeles hospital.
