Plot
Following her split from Michael, Tessa is left to raise their daughters, Kate and Lara, on her own. The trio struggles to accept Michael's young wife, Carolyn, a glamorous model. However, everything changes when Tessa receives a terminal cancer diagnosis, prompting her to encourage her daughters to welcome Carolyn into their lives as a new maternal figure. In an effort to bridge the gap, Tessa embarks on a cross-country journey to her father Jacob's ranch in Wyoming, where she seeks to impart the realities of parenting to Carolyn.
