Plot

Having contributed to Cahiers du cinéma, a young Jean-Luc Godard comes to believe that creating films serves as the ultimate form of film critique. He persuades producer Georges de Beauregard to back a modestly budgeted project and collaborates with fellow New Wave director François Truffaut to develop a treatment centered around a couple of gangsters.
