Plot

Horace McNickle, portrayed by Edward Asner, is a two-time felon imprisoned for counterfeiting. Just before Christmas, he cleverly escapes donning a Santa Claus outfit, capitalizing on his Santa-like appearance. Seeking refuge in a nearby suburban area, he encounters two children who genuinely believe he is the real Santa. As they assist him in hiding his counterfeit cash in a local department store, Horace's initial intentions shift. Through his interactions with the innocent kids, he begins to grasp the true spirit of Christmas, leading to a heartwarming transformation.
