Plot

A disciplined Captain receives orders to seize an important village in Italy. The local Italian troops express a desire to celebrate with a festival before surrendering. The lieutenant persuades the Captain that this is the best approach. Due to aerial surveillance, they must maintain the appearance of combat. To navigate this situation, an intelligence officer is dispatched. However, things take an unexpected turn when complications arise involving the Mayor's daughter during the festivities.
