This documentary explores the history, significance, and applications of the shaka sign, a gesture believed to have been around for more than a hundred years. Its true origins are shrouded in myths and tales, closely guarded by kupuna (Hawaiian elders) who kept the narrative under wraps for nearly a century. Their intention was to prevent misrepresentation and commercialization of the symbol. However, as they grow older and recognizing the demand for its understanding, they have chosen to reveal the story behind the shaka sign.
