Monkey in the Middle (2014)

Plot

Chris relocates to the East Coast, where his busy father pushes him to make friends. He joins a soccer team and quickly bonds with his charming neighbor, Mara. Their adventure takes a wild turn when they attempt to rescue mistreated animals from a local fair, only to be caught by the malevolent Malick. In the chaos, Chris discovers a playful monkey named Momo hiding in his backpack. Determined to protect Momo from Malick's greed, Chris juggles keeping the monkey hidden while enjoying newfound camaraderie with Mara, leading to a summer filled with unexpected fun and challenges.
