Plot
Set against the backdrop of the Gulf War, this French crime thriller follows the murder of an elderly German tourist in Paris, committed by Joseph Katz (Pinkas Braun), a junk dealer and friend of detective Sam Bellamy (singer Patrick Bruel). Bellamy is romantically linked to the victim's daughter, Emma Guter (Isabella Ferrari), and chooses to conceal the crime he witnessed. As Joseph mysteriously disappears, Bellamy travels to Berlin for an auction of the victim's belongings. There, he uncovers a hidden network trafficking art stolen by Nazis from French Jews and learns that a Nazi war criminal is blackmailing former associates. The film draws from journalist Hector Feliciano's Lost Museum and is based on Guy Konopnicki's novel, Pas de Kaddish pour Sylberstein.
