Plot
Set in the ancient kingdom of Goryeo, now known as Korea, a nobleman challenges the harsh customs of his time. Rather than abandoning his elderly mother to face a grim fate on a mountainside as was the cruel tradition for those over 70, he chooses to care for her. His defiance against societal norms not only highlights the struggle between familial duty and cultural expectations but also serves as a poignant reminder of the value of compassion in a rapidly changing world.
