Plot

In Constance, 1410, Marie, the daughter of the wealthiest merchant in town, is set to marry an esteemed lawyer, the son of an earl. While her father beams with pride at the match, Marie harbors doubts about her fiancé, having only met him twice. Her fears are tragically validated the night before the wedding when a stranger bursts into her home, accusing her of being a promiscuous woman who traded favors for gifts. From that moment on, Marie’s life takes a dark turn. With her reputation shattered, she finds herself alone and must resort to teaming up with a prostitute to survive on the streets.
