Plot

Jim Bowie ventures to New Orleans, where he quickly becomes enamored with Judalon and strikes up a friendship with her brother, Narcisse. Tragedy strikes when Narcisse is murdered, prompting Jim to seek vengeance. As Judalon moves on with another man, Jim finds himself drawn back to her, leading to a violent confrontation that forces him to kill in self-defense. After leaving the city, he meets the daughter of a Texas politician, yet his complicated past with Judalon continues to haunt him, complicating his new romance.
