Plot
In "Mimic," a deadly disease transmitted by cockroaches threatens the lives of children in Manhattan. To combat this crisis, entomologist Susan Tyler develops a genetically modified insect that produces a substance lethal to the roaches. Designed to perish after one generation, these mutants instead adapt and thrive. Three years later, Susan discovers to her horror that they have transformed into a massive, terrifying creature capable of imitating human appearances, posing a grave new threat to society.
