Plot

In "The Wonderful Country," Martin Brady, a man who escaped to Mexico after avenging his father's death, returns to Texas to facilitate an arms deal for his powerful boss, Governor Cipriano Castro. After injuring his leg, he finds himself embroiled in chaos when the shipment goes missing. Meanwhile, he attracts unwanted attention from the wife of a local army major, Colton, while a Texas Ranger captain proposes he join their ranks. After a fatal confrontation in self-defense, Brady retreats across the border, facing Castro’s fury over the lost shipment and the looming threat of an alliance with Colton against the Apache tribes.
