Plot

John "Kit" McKittrick, recently freed from a Spanish Civil War prison thanks to a New York City cop's influence, returns home only to learn of a friend's apparent suicide. Sensing foul play, he delves into the mystery, interviewing three captivating women, one linked to his tumultuous past as a refugee. As Nazi agents close in, Kit discovers another friend's death, raising suspicions about the sinister Dr. Skaas lurking in the shadows. The tension escalates as Kit races against time to uncover the truth while evading dangerous adversaries.
