Plot

Nicola Peccoli has devoted himself to raising his niece Giovanna, who lost her parents at two. Now that she is an adult, Nicola's protective instincts clash with her affection for Mario. He disapproves of Mario, viewing him as a mere working-class employee unworthy of Giovanna's love. As tensions rise, the dynamics of class and loyalty come to the forefront, challenging Nicola's outdated beliefs and revealing the complexities of love and family bonds in a changing society.
