Plot

Mindy Evans, an adventurous high school senior, grows disillusioned with her well-meaning but aimless boyfriend, Bill, and begins a passionate affair with charming, married teacher Jack Thompson. When she suspects she might be pregnant, the stress becomes overwhelming. Seeking a distraction, Mindy and her devoted friend Sandy embark on a spontaneous road trip to picturesque Big Sur, California. As they navigate their friendship and the uncertainties of young adulthood, Mindy confronts her choices and the realities of growing up.
