The Lamp (1959)

Plot

As the fading winter sunlight dims, a doll maker toils in his workshop, illuminated by a flickering kerosene lamp, surrounded by a chaotic mix of intact dolls and their broken parts. The air is filled with sounds, including the cheerful chirp of a cuckoo clock marking the end of the workday. After finishing a repair, the artisan steps outside and secures the shop. But once he’s gone, a hushed whispering fills the air. What secrets lie in wait for the shop's seemingly silent inhabitants?
