Strangler of the Swamp (1946)

Plot

Swamp locals are shaken by a series of strangulation murders, leading them to believe the spirit of an unjustly executed ferryman is exacting revenge on the descendants of his killers. Maria, the ferryman's granddaughter, takes over the family ferry service, where she crosses paths with Chris Sanders, the son of one of the executioners. Their budding romance faces a dark turn when the mysterious "strangler" abducts Chris. In a desperate bid to save him, Maria offers her own life in exchange for his safety, testing the limits of love and sacrifice.
