Plot
Set in Montauban during 1944, Julien Dandieu serves as a surgeon at the local hospital. As the German forces invade the town, he fears for the safety of his family and enlists his friend Francois to transport his wife and daughter to their remote castle in the countryside. A week later, Julien plans to reunite with them for the weekend, but upon arriving, he discovers that the Germans have already taken control of the village, complicating his efforts to protect his loved ones.
