Plot

Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, a Brussels neighborhood known for its ties to jihadism, serves as the playground for six-year-old Aatos and his friend Amine. Their days are filled with imaginative adventures, from listening to spiders to debating how a flying carpet should fly. However, their innocent explorations are shattered when a terrorist attack strikes their community. Aatos finds himself drawn to Amine's Muslim faith as he grapples with his own beliefs, while classmate Flo challenges his views, deeming faith irrational. "Gods of Molenbeek" beautifully captures the essence of childhood curiosity and the quest for understanding amid chaos.
