Plot

Father Thomasino, a cherished priest, is brutally killed in a San Francisco alley, leaving the police with scant evidence. Traffic officer Joe Martini becomes fixated on the case, believing Sylvio Malatesta to be the culprit. Dismissed from the investigation, Joe resigns and pursues the truth independently. As he ingratiates himself with the charming Malatesta family, particularly the enchanting Anna, he grapples with his loyalty. Torn between his past commitments and newfound friendships, Joe must navigate the murky waters of guilt and innocence in his quest for justice.
