Plot

In the year 1996, headstrong Los Angeles cop John Spartan and the psychopathic criminal Simon Phoenix find themselves locked away in a cryogenic facility after a botched rescue mission. Fast forward 36 years, Phoenix breaks free, unleashing chaos in a drastically altered future.
