Plot
Stevie emerges from prison in Scotland, seeking a fresh start on a London construction site. Faced with harsh working conditions, he quickly discovers that many of his coworkers are using aliases to navigate immigration issues and protect their unemployment benefits. With some assistance from fellow workers, Stevie finds temporary shelter in a council estate. His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Susan, an Irish woman aspiring to become a professional singer, as they both navigate the challenges of their new lives in the bustling city.
