Plot

The Wiggs family faces a bleak Thanksgiving in their dilapidated home, missing Mr. Wiggs, who vanished long ago. Kind-hearted Miss Lucy steps in, providing a lavish feast, while her boyfriend Bob arranges medical care for the ailing Wiggs boy. Their other son earns some cash selling kindling, treating the family to a show. Tragedy strikes at the hospital as Mrs. Wiggs witnesses her son’s last moments. Meanwhile, neighbor Miss Mazy hopes to win Mr. Stubbins’ heart, sneaking her cooking past him, which leads to an unexpected proposal. Just when all seems lost, Mr. Wiggs returns with the money to save their home.
